True family is not always the people who are related by blood, they can be friends too who make time to check up on you and make sure you are not falling. They have no hidden agendas behind their smiles
The hardest part of leaving a toxic relationship be it a friendship or any other type of relationship is the emotional toll it takes. You need to emotionally disconnect and move forward without this person, it is a process.
As a child I also knew of people who were abused physically, emotionally and verbally and the scars that they carried around for years. It is to this day not an easy topic for me to talk about when I think about them and what it took for them to get out of their situations and the healing that it took for them to move forward.
All this fuss about being born a millennial, I do not understand it. There’s a whole other generation after us that’s smarter, quicker than us. I have been having a very strong desire to travel, to just get out of Nairobi and have a change of scenery and some solitude.
Part two of my adventures to be more eco-friendly a bit at a time I wanted to get myself a pair of tire slippers.
Finally they arrived, after talking to a dear friend about my desire to include more eco-friendly products in my life we took the plunge and she got me a pair.
What I love about sole rebels is what they are about: artisan powered and use recycled materials without moving far from the rich Ethiopian culture and tapestry.
